TAB Benefits - Entrepreneurs' Boards

Each member of a TAB-San Antonio Entrepreneurs' Board attends one Board meeting each month, and receives one-hour, bi-monthly Private Sessions with a Certiified Facilitator/Coach.

He or she also receives access to a carefully chosen set of tools collectively identified as the MPN Toolkit, which was designed to create the maximum impact on a small business. These are delivered through your Facilitator/Coach, with the assistance of your Managing Partner. Some of the tools are delivered in separate seminars, which are offered regularly for new members.

The MPN Toolkit has been developed over many years of operating businesses. It is a proven foundation for developing a successful company. Completing the MPN Toolkit is a major focus of your first year as a TAB Member.

The MPN Toolkit includes:

  • Managing For Success® communications profile. This tool is designed to assist managers in determining their own communications style, and help them to identify the styles of those whop work for them. Incompatible communications style is the number one reason for employment termination, and the MFS is used by such major companies as USAA and Home Depot. Debriefing is conducted by a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst.
  • The TAB Management Diagnostic Questionnaire®. This proprietary online survey covers every area of your company, including sales, marketing, human resources, operations, finance and planning. It then generates a competency/needs gap analysis that allows you and your Facilitator/Coach to prioritize areas for improvement.
  • The SBL Pocket Vision™: This proprietary interview process conducted by your Facilitator/Coach will help you understand how your company is a means to an end, and to refocus on what the personal benefits of your business ownership should be.
  • Your Strategic Driving Force: Developed in a seminar environment, your Strategic Driving Force will tell you what critical areas to focus on in your company, and where to concentrate your efforts for the greatest impact.
  • Your Company Core Values: Developed in Private Session with your Facilitator/Coach, your core values are the guidepost for employees. Developing core values gives you a solid foundation for new hires, customer relations, and your organizational working environment.
  • Your Unique Selling Proposition: Why should someone do business with you? If you are a typical small business owner, you'll say "Because we are good at what we do, we keep our promises, and we back up our work." The problem is; everybody else is saying the same thing. In our USP seminar, you will learn to state your competitive differentiation to customers in a way that makes you stand out from the crowd.

Business and Professional Services

"The major issues that we all have in common center around people, employees, customers, prospects, staff, ourselves. Couple that with vision, goals, profitability, growth, exit strategy, and marketing, and you have plenty to work with no matter what another member's industry is."
